My name is Regina A Monge, and I am a Miami-born Latina currently working in DC. I’m a passionate, full-time feminist, determined to have my voice heard. I am particularly focused on getting young women of color involved in politics. Currently, I serve on BeVisible’s National Millennial Advisory Board and National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health‘s Young Professional Council.
My interests include: personal politics, feminism, social justice & coffee
May 2016: My family and I the day before graduation. Getting to, paying for, and graduation form American University was a group effort. I was so grateful to be able to share it with all of them. March 2015: Scenes from a Ward 3 Advisory Neighborhood Commission meeting. Serving as an Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner, as a college student, taught me a lot about the impact that young people can have when they invest in their communities. I still can’t believe I got to serve in this role sometimes. January 2015: My mom and I at my swearing-in ceremony at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
